Pain can be a sign of tissue inflammation, an early warning sign that the body needs attention before it deteriorates to the point of disease.

Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT)
Osteopathic medicine was founded in 1874 by Andrew Taylor Still, a US medical doctor (MD). While osteopathic and chiropractic manipulation overlap in many ways , they are not identical. Specific techniques include muscle-energy, Jones counterstrain (also known as strain-counterstrain), myofascial release, and osteopathy in the cranial field. Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a gentle, hands-on therapy that focuses on releasing tension and pain in the connective tissues, known as fascia, that surround and support muscles throughout the body. When fascia becomes restricted due to injury, stress, or inflammation, it can lead to pain, discomfort, and reduced mobility.
In a myofascial release session, the practitioner uses light to moderate pressure to stretch and release these tight areas, helping to restore flexibility, improve circulation, and alleviate pain. This therapy can be particularly beneficial for those experiencing chronic pain, muscle stiffness, or tension due to conditions like fibromyalgia, headaches, or injury.
Unlike more forceful therapies, myofascial release works with the body's natural healing process, making it a soothing and effective treatment for patients of all ages. It's an excellent complement to other holistic treatments we offer in our practice.
This treatment can help enhance overall well-being by reducing physical tension and promoting a sense of deep relaxation.
